I've received some complaints about noise, especially in the downtown area. Here's some information about our noise bylaw and how to lodge a complaint.
The Noise Bylaw is from 7:00 am to 10:00pm and the City is exempt as per the Noise Bylaw. See below from City website.
The Noise Abatement Bylaw No. 6980 states that it is against the bylaw to create unreasonably loud or excessive noise likely to disturb any reasonable person with the exception of:
1. pre-authorized events or;
2. noise caused by:
- emergency vehicles
- train whistles
- snow removal equipment
- church bells
- work on a city street or public utility by the City of Regina, SaskPower, SaskTel, or approved contractor
To file a complaint, call Bylaw Enforcement at 306-777-7000 (daytime during office hours) or the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 (after hours).
