Budget 2022

This year's budget meeting spanned a glorious 24 hours. No, that isn't a typo. If you watch the proceedings you won't see me saying much. Most of my questions were answered once I read the budget book, submitted inquiries to staff in advance, or after fellow councillors raised their concerns during the meeting. There are some important investments being made into supportive housing, affordable housing stock, flood mitigation infrastructure, bike lanes, additional community support teams (Warehouse District), pedestrian safety, sidewalks, environmental sustainability, a new transit route, recreation, and even parking! No, I didn't support the reinstatement of the special golf course mill rate subclass, but I recognize how much residents value the Royal Regina Golf Club.
